Game Of The Week – Week 2

Category : Uncategorized v. Bowhunters

While these teams have been known by different names in the past, most of these players have faced off against each other a time or two on the ORH rink. In a back-and-forth affair Evan Brown (Bowhunters) and Ryan Williamson ( each posted a hattrick to lead their respective teams in scoring. A late comeback by the Bowhunters forced a shootout which provided them the victory. This is the second week in a row they have had late-game heroics, forced a shootout and took the victory.

In his ORH debut goaltender Timmy Little ( had an impressive showing with several impressive early game saves. His performance deserved a better fate than an OT loss.

After a week off (No games June 17th) we will be back at it on June 24th with a full schedule of games. On a sad note, we lost a team in the league this week as the Kangabrews will no longer be playing. The games they played will still be part of our league standings and statistics. But moving forward in this session they will no longer be on the schedule. Please check the schedule page for the up-to-date schedule as some times, games and dates have changed.

The League is BACK!

Category : Uncategorized

A new season of Ohio Roller Hockey is here. This year we have a competitive puck and a recreational puck divisions playing on Saturday mornings as well as ball league on Wednesday night. There are lots of new faces on the rink this year as we have expanded to 12 total teams. As always we will be posting stats and standings and taking pictures each week.

New this year we will we feature a game of the week rather than recapping every game. This will rotate through different teams and divisions with an effort to cover at least one game from each team throughout the season.

Game of the Week: Bendy Bunch v. Kangabrews

Week one’s game-of-the-week features two new competitive puck division teams. They did not disappoint on the scoreboard. Both teams wasted no time trying to feel each other out, they put up a combined 15 goals in a game that saw 3 players score at least a hattrick. Justin Richards posted 3 goals for the Bendy Bunch while Nick Tevonian add a goal and 3 helpers. Diego Breckenridge scored 4 goals with 2 assists but was second in scoring to teammate Jake Howell who exploded for 6 goals and an assist to lead Kangabrews. Kangabrews took the victory 10 – 5. With this level of scoring both of these teams should be fun to watch this season. Welcome to both teams and good luck this season.
